PAPYRUS for DOS/Windows

PAPYRUS Version 7.0 is a DOS program. However, it continues to work very nicely under Windows 3.x, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP, and OS/2 -- including interacting with Windows word processors and support for copy and paste with other applications.

The current version is 7.0.17. Supported word processors include all versions of Word for Windows through Word 2000 (although subsequent versions of Word will almost certainly continue to work with Papyrus) and versions of WordPerfect for Windows through at least WP 8.0, plus Ami Pro 3.x. These instructions include our latest recommendations for setting the Properties of your PAPYRUS shortcut icon. For Windows NT, Windows 2000 and Windows XP, here are the corresponding step-by-step instructions and Properties settings, as well as instructions for dealing with some common problems.

PAPYRUS Version 7.0 has been Year 2000 compliant ever since its original release in 1992 -- except for a minor cosmetic bug that was fixed during 1997, in Version 7.0.14a.
